We are delighted to announce that Allan Saint Maximin has reached a verbal agreement with Al Ahli and the first part of his medical tests have been passed too.
The 26 year old French winger, who currently plays for Newcastle United in the Premier League, is set to become one of Al Ahli’s most exciting signings in recent years.
Allan Saint Maximin stats last season
Saint Maximin joined Newcastle from OGC Nice two seasons ago and has since established himself as an important player for The Magpies. He scored three goals and provided seven assists last season – making him one of their key players going forward.
His impressive performances at St James’ Park have earned him admirers across Europe; so it comes as no surprise that he was linked with a move away this summer. Now it seems like he will be heading out east to join Al Ahli instead!
Saint Maximin brings plenty of pace, skill and flair which should make him an instant hit among fans at The Red Castle Stadium – something they’ll certainly need next season after a disappointing campaign last time around! His arrival could also provide some much needed competition on the wing alongside fellow new signing Ahmed Khalil – giving manager Henk ten Cate more options when selecting his starting line up each week.
Allan Saint Maximin looks set to be an excellent addition not only for Al Ahli but also for Saudi Arabian football overall; we can’t wait until we see what he can do when the new season begins later this year!
